Encoding, DRM, catalog, thumbnail, and publishing

 

Encode without human intervention

 

 

1. Streams: click Media Center > Videos, once videos are uploaded, you can find them in the video list. Streams will be transcoded without human intervention, and you can hover on the icon to view stream status.

 

  • You can filter by Transcode Status, or hover on the Transcode icon to check the progress.

 

  • Click the Transcode icon to preview the video once the 480P[Key Stream] is ready.

 

  • Click Retry or Change Video to upload a new video when the status of encoding becomes Failed to transcode.

 

 

2. Audio: if the video contains digital audio tracks, click Transcode > Audio to set up languages.

 

  • Preview the audio tracks in the left-hand area, and manage them in the right-hand area. Dolby's audio will be identified.

 

 

  • The digital audio is extracted from the video, so please be careful with delete.

 

 

3. Subtitles: click Transcode Subtitles to upload ass/srt subtitles and set up languages.

 

  • Preview the subtitles in the left-hand area, and manage them in the right-hand area.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Use DRM for your videos

 

 

1. Select videos and click Batch DRM to encrypt the streams. DaVinci, FairPlay, Widevine, and PlayReady are available. 

 

 

  • In order to save transcoding resources, DRMs won't be encrypted by default that you should operate in the video list.

 

 

2. You can filter by DRM Status, or hover on the DRM icon to check the details.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Video catalog

 

 

1. Find the video you want to edit in the catalog, and click Video Catalog.

 

 

2. Choose a channel for the first catalog. Make sure to Add Channel first before cataloging.

 

 

3. Fill in the info of the video, including Basic, Classification, Character, and Control information. 

 

4. Click Submit to update the catalog. The unsubmitted info will be saved automatically as a draft.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Edit a video thumbnail

 

 

1. Click the Video Thumbnail button on the video list.

 

 

2. Choose from Video Screenshots, or Upload Images to set thumbnails.

 

  • The thumbnail on the video list will be generated in minutes after it is submitted. 

 

 

 


 

 

Preview video in the playback mode

 

 

1. Click the Playback button on the video thumbnail, after the encoding is finished.

 

2. Preview the video in the popup window.

 

 

 


 

 

Publish your videos to the specific devices and regions

 

 

Videos are eligible to be published after they are cataloged, thumbnail generated, and transcoded. 

 

1. Click the button on the right end of the video list, and the big Pop-up will be displayed.

 

2. The setting of Publish Devices and Play Regions for the video could be selected.

 

3. You can choose the card of Publishing Now or Schedule, and then click the button in the upright corner to complete the publish.

 

 

  • You can muti-select the videos by clicking Batch Publish to try batch publishing.

 

 

 


 

 

Update your videos Geo-blocking

 

 

Videos are eligible to be updated after they are published. 

 

1. Hover the button on the right end of the video list, click Update Publish.

 

2. You can change the setting of Publish Devices and Play Regions for the video.

 

  • For example, you could change select all to Malaysia only if now you only want users in Malaysia to watch this video.

 

 

 


 

 

Suspend your videos

 

 

Videos are eligible to be suspended when they are Published.

 

  • Toggle off the button on the right end of the video list, or click Batch Suspend to try batch suspending.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Change videos

 

 

Click Change Video to upload a new video source. The old video will be overwritten after the new one is uploaded.

 

  • To track the uploading of the new videos, click the hovering green balloon, or check notifications.  

 

  • Click Change Video to change the setting of DRM for uploads if needed, click the Upload button directly if DRM is not required. 

 

 

 

 


  

 

Delete your videos

 

 

Videos are eligible to be deleted when they are not Published.

 

  • Click DELETE, and then click OK.
